WVMI is pleased to welcome Aaron Spurlock as Chief Information Officer. Mr. Spurlock leads and directs WVMI’s Information Technology Department, which services employees in three states and contracted medical data abstractors across the nation. Mr. Spurlock ensures IT reliability, accuracy, and security through strategic leadership and adherence to industry-proven standards and best practices. Before joining WVMI, Mr. Spurlock was a Senior Manager and Site Director with CDI Corporation. In this role he led a 24x7 global end user support organization responsible for providing outsourced IT Support to Fortune 100 clients. He also directed facility operations, logistics, and managed subcontractor relations. In 2007, Mr. Spurlock led the CDI Support Organization to achieve the HDI Support Center Certification. Additionally, Mr. Spurlock was responsible for the planning and successful relocation of the technical support center; this was coupled with a VoIP contact center conversion.
For Applied Card Systems, Mr. Spurlock served as Assistant Vice President/Site Director, Support Services Manager and Help Desk Manager. In these roles he managed an IT department of more than 100 technical employees, managed on-site security and oversaw the maintenance and facilities’ departments. He led the implementation of a corporate help desk and a 24x7 command center operation. Mr. Spurlock also cosponsored the development and implementation of an enterprise change management system.
Mr. Spurlock served as Operations Manager for Fruth Pharmacy, Inc. In that position he supervised a technical support team and led the conversion of the 21-store retail chain to a computer point of sale cash register and inventory system.
Mr. Spurlock earned a BA in Business Administration from Marshall University in Huntington, WV and an MS in Strategic Leadership from Mountain State University in Beckley, WV.
