The West Virginia Medical Institute
WVMI is the longest-standing member of the corporate family (established in 1973) and founder of the Quality Insights affiliates. WVMI provides quality improvement and assurance services to an array of federal, state and private customers. This includes the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (WVMI is the federally designated Medicare Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for West Virginia), the US Department of Veterans Affairs, the American College of Cardiology, and the West Virginia Bureau for Medical Services. WVMI is also the administrative hub of the Quality Insights family and home of all corporate leadership.
Quality Insights
Quality Insights of Delaware and Quality Insights of Pennsylvania are Medicare QIOs and Health Information Technology Regional Extension Centers (RECs) for their respective states. They are responsible for improving and assuring care provided to people with Medicare and for assisting physicians with implementing electronic health records (EHRs). Quality Insights team members are quality experts, partners and trusted conveners to their local health care communities.
Quality Insights Renal Network Three, the newest member of the family, is the End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) network for New Jersey, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. ESRDs, funded by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, improve the quality of care for dialysis patients.
