WVMI & Quality Insights rely on experienced registered nurses, data analysts and computer experts to fill a variety of core positons integral to the organization, including the following:
Registered Nurse Project Coordinators (DE, PA and WV) demonstrate proficient and advanced clinical skills in planning, implementing, and evaluating cooperative projects that have long-range implications for select patient populations in clinical settings. Requires an undergraduate or graduate nursing degree and experience.
Resource Nurses (DE and WV) provide efficient, timely, and objective medical data collection and non-physician record screening and referral for review programs requiring medical record assessment. Requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing and experience.
BMS Resource Nurses (WV) provide efficient, timely and objective medical data collection and non-physician record screening and referral for the Bureau of Medical Services’ Aged and Disabled Waiver Program. Requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing and experience.
Case Review Coordinators (WV) perform administrative and professional work associated with individual case review and coordinates reconsideration of contested determinations of medical necessity/quality of care for Medicare contract cases. Requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing and experience.
Utilization Management Review Nurses (WV) provide efficient, timely and objective non-physician utilization review services for Medicaid beneficiaries undergoing inpatient and outpatient care services. Requires an associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing and experience.
Help Desk Technicians (PA and WV) provide second-level technical user support. Requires completion of technical training and experience.
Data Analysts (PA and WV) provide proficient and advanced skills in planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating data for clinical studies that have long-range implications for patient populations in clinical settings. Requires an undergraduate or graduate degree and experience.
Programmers (WV) work with systems analysts, users and the Group Manager to design and develop application software. Requires completion of a computer-programming program or a bachelor’s degree with a concentration in computer science and experience.
Biostatisticians (PA and WV) demonstrate proficient and advanced skills in planning, designing, implementing, and evaluating data for clinical studies, which have long-range implications for patient populations in clinical settings. Requires a master’s or doctorate degree in biostatistics or a statistically related field and experience.
Epidemiologists (PA and WV) design and evaluate population-based quality improvement projects to measure progress in improving health care and health status of Medicare beneficiaries. Requires graduate-level preparation in public health or epidemiology and experience.
Also needed: RNs, RHIAs, or RHITs as Independent Contractors (nationwide) WVMI needs RNs, RHIAs, or RHITs as independent contractors for data abstraction in hospitals and outpatient clinics around the US. Travel may be possible or you may stay in your local area. Utilization review and computer experience are a plus.
