WVMI & Quality Insights to support Home Health CampaignCharleston, WV WVMI & Quality Insights in October was notified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) of selection as the Support Contractor for a Home Health Quality Improvement (HHQI) National Campaign.

Shanen Wright, WVMI & Quality Insights’ Assistant Director of Communications and Training Manager, will serve as the HHQI National Campaign Project Director.

Under the 22-month contract, WVMI & Quality Insights will recruit home health agencies throughout the nation to take part in a campaign to improve two aspects of care for people with Medicare: reduction of hospital readmissions and improvement in medication management.

WVMI & Quality Insights will provide access to quality data, training and education for participating home health agencies.

This is the second national home health campaign WVMI & Quality Insights will support for CMS. In 2007, WVMI & Quality Insights coordinated the year-long Home Health Quality Improvement National Campaign. About 70 percent of the nation’s approximately 8,000 Medicare-certified home health agencies participated.
