WVMI & Quality Insights receives quality measures contract
Charleston, WV - WVMI & Quality Insights of Pennsylvania have been awarded a Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services contract to develop and maintain quality measures for physician offices.
“In developing quality measures, we can best serve the patient and provider populations we are charged with helping,” said Chief Executive Officer John Wiesendanger.
Under the contract, Quality Insights of Pennsylvania will work with physician experts to revise and develop quality measures. The measures will help physician offices assess quality as part of CMS’ Physician Quality Reporting Initiative (PQRI). Quality Insights will also submit the measures to the National Quality Forum for approval. Quality Insights will collaborate with CMS staff, researchers, and analysts on the project.
WVMI & Quality Insights previously developed quality measures under a three-year Physician Office Clinical Quality Measure project, which ended last year.
